Feeling lost in your 20s, 30s, 40s (or even your 50s, 60s or 70s) is a universal experience that we all have to weather , perhaps multiple times throughout our lifespan.
For me, age 28 was the crisis point. I quit the career I had been working towards for almost a decade, actively removed myself from the dating scene, and lost any sense of what direction my life was taking.
Oftentimes, the answer to catching a glimpse of our former souls lies in returning to what our younger selves found joy in – picking up the musical instrument we put down in favour of 3am VBLs, scraping the crust off the decades old tube of acrylic paint in the hope that some liquid remains.
For me, it was a natural return to three hobbies: food, writing, and writing about food.
This blog represents the latest step in reclaiming my lust for life and, in the long-term, building a career that truly aligns with my values and goals.
For now, it is a space to share my passion and knowledge, combining foodie content with ramblings from my often frustrated, sometimes informed, late-20s existence.
Bon Apetit – Cam xo
